Pashley Old Blue

Braganza FabricF4781-02

Pashley Old Blue shows the Braganza design in a softly faded blue palette over a warm ivory ground. The repeated floral medallions and scrolling stems feel crisp but gently aged, giving the fabric a calm, decorative presence.

About this fabric

This colourway uses a cool, muted old blue for the main flowers, with deeper navy accents and beige scrolling lines set against a creamy ground. The effect is patterned but airy, with the lighter background keeping the repeat from feeling heavy despite its large vertical 79cm and horizontal 67cm approximate repeat. Woven in a 40% polyester, 30% cotton, 30% linen composition and measuring approximately 134cm wide, it has the substance to sit confidently across both cushions and full-length curtains. The overall finish reads as smart and settled rather than bright, which suits the intricate lattice and floral motif well.

How to use it

Use it on statement cushions, an upholstered armchair, or elegant curtains where the soft old blue can cool a room without darkening it. It works especially well with natural oak, chalky whites and pale taupe paint.

Pair with pale woods and warm neutrals to let the cool blue pattern stay fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
