Rory Aqua

Brett Weaves FabricF4639-09

Rory Aqua is a finely textured woven fabric with a calm aqua-blue ground and a softly heathered, crosshatched look. The surface reads subtly grainy and tailored, with pale blue, grey and sandy threads shifting as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

From the Brett Weaves collection by Colefax and Fowler, Rory Aqua is a 143cm-wide fabric with no repeat, giving it a clean, versatile woven character. The composition blends 40% cotton, 26% viscose, 23% polyester, 9% linen, 1% polyamide and 1% acrylic, which helps create its crisp but softly slubbed handle. Visually, the colourway sits between pale aqua and misty blue-grey, with a restrained, slightly weathered tone rather than a bright seaside blue. The small basket-like weave brings gentle texture and makes the surface feel understated and architectural. With its balanced weight and quiet finish, it suits both upholstery and drapery uses.

How to use it

Use Rory Aqua to soften a pared-back scheme with oak, chalk white and brushed metal, where its cool tint can lift warmer woods. It also works well on occasional chairs, cushions or relaxed curtains when you want texture without bold pattern.

A cool aqua weave that feels fresh yet tailored on seating or soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
