About this fabric

Rory Silver from the Brett Weaves collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 143cm approx wide fabric woven in a blend of 40% Cotton, 26% Viscose, 23% Polyester, 9% Linen, 1% Polyamide and 1% Acrylic. The close weave reads as a small-scale texture rather than a marked design, with tiny highlights and slightly warmer ivory threads lifting the overall surface. In the image it appears pale, restrained and softly luminous, with the silver note staying light rather than cold. The repeat is stated as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, reinforcing its plain, textural character, and the composition suggests a practical fabric with a refined finish.

How to use it

Use Rory Silver where you want a low-contrast foundation: it works especially well on armchairs, ottomans or curtains in rooms with pale wood, stone and painted joinery. Its cool-leaning cream tone also softens stronger colours nearby, keeping the scheme elegant and easy.

A quietly versatile neutral that sits neatly with pale timber, chalky paint and tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
