About this fabric

This fabric has a compact woven structure that reads as textured rather than patterned, with fine horizontal striations and a gently mottled green-grey depth in the cloth. The forest-green shade is subdued and earthy, sitting between moss and sage so it feels calm rather than bright. At approximately 139cm wide and woven in 55% viscose, 26% cotton and 19% polyester, it is a practical upholstery fabric with a refined handle. The zero repeat keeps the look clean and continuous, while the weave’s slight sheen catches the light subtly without appearing shiny. The overall effect is smart, natural and understated.

How to use it

Use Tay Forest on a sofa or armchair where you want a grounded green that still feels tailored and elegant. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and warm neutrals that let the muted tone sit comfortably in the room.

A subdued green weave that brings quiet depth to tailored seating and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
