About this fabric

The small repeating motif creates linked chevrons and diamond-like shapes across the cloth, giving the green colourway a quietly graphic rhythm. Its forest-green tone reads softened rather than bright, while the cream threads pick out the pattern without creating a stark contrast. The dense-looking weave gives the surface visual depth and makes it particularly convincing for upholstered pieces. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Empire - Green on an occasional chair, headboard or compact sofa where its muted green depth can anchor a room without overwhelming it. Balance the cream pattern with oatmeal upholstery companions, pale timber and warm, low-shine metal.

Pair the muted green ground with warm timber, natural neutrals and softly aged metallic accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Empire - Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
