About this fabric

This colourway reads as a cool, quiet grey overall, with subdued blue threads giving the surface depth and a lightly weathered character. Oatmeal and warm taupe flecks break through the ground, while darker charcoal strands sharpen the fine checked texture. The dense, nubby weave has a softly brushed appearance rather than a smooth or glossy finish. Its compact woven construction and substantial visual texture make it a natural choice for upholstery.

How to use it

Use Onyx on a tailored armchair, headboard or compact sofa where its blue-grey depth can sit alongside oatmeal linen, pale woods and warm stone shades.

Pair the cool blue-grey and oatmeal weave with pale timber, chalky neutrals and softly aged metals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
