Torben Chinchilla

Alston Fabric

Torben Chinchilla has a pale chinchilla-grey appearance, with fine vertical striations running through its softly irregular woven surface. The restrained contrast gives the cloth a lightly dimensional look without a separate motif.

About this fabric

The close weave combines silver-grey and slightly darker threads, creating a cool, misted tone rather than a flat solid colour. Narrow vertical lines add quiet direction across the face, while the uneven thread texture catches the light in small variations. Its substantial-looking woven construction makes it best suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub test or additional performance feature is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use this cool light-grey upholstery on a clean-lined sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its fine vertical texture can add depth without introducing a strong pattern. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and muted blue-grey accents for a calm, tailored room.

A cool, finely textured grey weave for tailored upholstery and calm contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
