Torben Stucco
Alston Fabric
Torben Stucco has a softly weathered, pale greige-taupe appearance, with fine vertical variation running through the woven surface. Its restrained colour and tactile grain create depth without a visible motif.

About this fabric
The close-up shows a warm, pale taupe ground threaded with lighter and darker flecks, giving the surface a softly mottled stucco effect. Fine vertical slubs create subtle movement across the cloth, while the small irregularities in the weave add a gently nubby texture. With no bold pattern competing for attention, this colourway reads as calm and quietly textured. The understated greige tone works equally well as a grounding upholstery fabric or as a textural curtain cloth.
How to use it
Use Torben Stucco to soften a neutral seating scheme, pairing its warm greige-taupe tone with pale oak, limestone shades and off-white linen. It can also bring quiet texture to full-length curtains without introducing a strong pattern.
Pair its pale greige-taupe tone with natural timber, chalky walls and softly layered textiles.

Pairs well with
Torben Stucco is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
