Torben Magnet
Alston Fabric
Torben Magnet has a deep charcoal-grey ground enlivened by closely packed vertical texture. Fine pale and darker flecks move through the weave, giving the surface a subtly dimensional, tactile appearance.

About this fabric
The fabric shows a compact vertical construction, with narrow irregular lines running consistently through the charcoal base. Small light flecks break up the dark tone and create a softly mottled effect rather than a flat solid colour. Its close, substantial-looking weave reads as tailored and architectural, with texture becoming more apparent as the light catches the raised threads. No performance features are noted for this fabric.
How to use it
Use Torben Magnet on a structured armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool charcoal tone can anchor softer grey, stone and natural wood accents. The fine vertical texture also suits crisp, contemporary interiors that need depth without a bold motif.
Use this deep charcoal weave to give upholstered pieces a tailored, quietly architectural finish.

Pairs well with
Torben Magnet is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
