Kirkby Design

Aspect Anthracite

Aspect Anthracite has a deep charcoal-grey ground animated by closely repeated zigzag lines. Its woven surface gives the monochrome pattern a softly tactile, dimensional character.

About this fabric

The design is formed from tightly packed chevrons, with lighter grey threads tracing the angular rhythm across the darker ground. The anthracite colour reads cool, muted and substantial rather than stark black, while the alternating threads add subtle depth. Its structured weave and clearly defined geometry give the fabric a smart, tailored appearance. The close-scale pattern is especially effective where a controlled graphic texture is preferred over a plain cloth.

How to use it

Use Aspect Anthracite on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat to introduce a cool architectural note. Pair its charcoal depth with pale stone, soft grey or warm timber to keep the room balanced and prevent the chevron texture from feeling too severe.

The deep charcoal tone and closely packed chevron weave bring a tailored, architectural quality to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Aspect Anthracite without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
