Tay Red

Brett Weaves FabricF4644-05

Tay Red is a richly textured woven cloth with a warm terracotta-red ground and subtle lighter flecks running through the surface. The finish feels softly rustic rather than bright or glossy, giving the colourway a grounded, lived-in look.

About this fabric

This fabric has a distinctly textural plain weave, with horizontal striations and small slubs that catch the light across the surface. The 55% viscose, 26% cotton and 19% polyester composition gives it a refined woven handle, while the 139cm approximate width makes it practical for a range of interior applications. With no repeat noted, the design reads as an all-over texture rather than a pattern, and the warm red tone is tempered by earthy beige and coral notes. The overall effect is inviting and slightly worn-in, with enough depth to avoid feeling flat.

How to use it

Use Tay Red on an upholstered armchair, banquette or headboard where its warm red-orange depth can bring colour without feeling overly bold. It also pairs well with natural wood, ivory and aged brass for a comfortable, tailored look.

A warm terracotta weave that softens beautifully against oak, linen and muted neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
