Claude Stripe Red

Brooke Stripes FabricF4830-01

Claude Stripe Red pairs a warm, washed red stripe with a natural linen ground, giving the fabric a quietly tailored look. The narrow vertical pattern feels crisp but relaxed, with the flax tone keeping the overall effect light.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Brooke Stripes fabric has the easy texture and slightly dry handle you would expect from a natural cloth. The stripe is set on a pale oatmeal base, with slim red and blush lines that read soft rather than bright, so the colour feels aged and gentle. With a vertical repeat of 0cm and an approximate horizontal repeat of 4cm, the stripe is cleanly regular and easy to work into a scheme. At approximately 146cm wide and marked Q 8 : T 3 with √BM fire classification, it is well suited to classic decorative uses where a smart but unfussy finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of Roman blinds, upholstered dining chairs, or a crisp covered bench where the faded red will add warmth without overpowering the room. It sits especially well with painted wood in cream, putty, or muted green.

A muted stripe that brings gentle warmth to classic schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
