About this fabric

Woven in a 49% cotton and 51% linen blend, Elmscott Stripe Blue has the dry, natural handle that suits both curtains and upholstery. The stripe is finely spaced, with a horizontal repeat of approx. 1.5cm and a width of approx. 138cm, creating a neat, orderly rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway the blue reads cool and understated rather than strong, so the overall effect is fresh without feeling stark. The linen content shows in the slightly textured surface, while the cream ground keeps the palette gentle and easy to live with. Fire code √CM and care code Q 8 9 T 3 are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use it where you want a soft coastal note or a restrained country stripe, especially on a slipper chair, blind or small armchair. It works particularly well with white paint, pale oak and other washed-out blue accents.

A fresh blue-and-cream stripe that feels tailored and easy to pair with natural linens or painted woodwork.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
