About this fabric

This colourway has a close, nubby plain weave that gives the surface visible depth without any pattern repeat, so the texture does the talking. The blue sits in a muted slate register rather than a bright or inky tone, which keeps the fabric calm and easy to live with. At approximately 139cm wide and composed of 55% viscose, 26% cotton and 19% polyester, it has the balance of handle and practicality expected of a versatile furnishing cloth. The V 0cm / H 0cm repeat means it is straightforward to cut and use across upholstery or drapery projects, while the overall finish feels smart rather than showy.

How to use it

Use Tay Blue on an armchair, ottoman or tailored curtains where you want a cool, grounded colour with subtle texture. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metals.

A versatile slate-blue weave that works well across clean-lined upholstery and tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
