Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2BAZELY

Bazely Danube presents a cool slate-blue ground with a subtle woven relief that catches the light softly across the surface. The small-scale linked pattern gives the fabric a neat, tailored look without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Bazely Danube is a 100% polyester fabric designed for drapes only. It has a width of 140cm, a weight of 298 grams per linear metre, and a fabric density of 213gsm, with a 9cm vertical repeat and 6cm horizontal repeat. The visible colour is a muted blue-grey, closer to slate than true denim, which helps the pattern read crisply while staying understated. The small repeating motif and lightly textured woven surface give it a calm, modern finish that works well where you want detail without bold contrast.

How to use it

This subdued blue works well for full-length curtains, especially in rooms that need a cool, collected finish. Pair it with pale oak, chalky neutrals or brushed metal for a smart, contemporary scheme.

A refined slate-blue weave that adds quiet structure to tailored curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bazely Danube without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
