Maui Slate is a cool, muted slate-blue woven with a chalky cream ground and a tightly ordered geometric grid. Irregular blue blocks and small cross-like forms give the surface a gently tactile, hand-worked character.

About this fabric

The design alternates deep slate-blue rectangular marks with pale cross motifs, creating a compact lattice that reads clearly without becoming visually heavy. Its pattern repeat is 3.7cm vertically and 3.4cm horizontally, giving the cloth a small, consistent scale across upholstery. At 570gsm, the visibly substantial weave is best classified for upholstery rather than lightweight drapery. The 137cm usable width and 25m standard length make it practical for planning larger upholstered pieces while retaining the cool, grounded depth of this colourway.

How to use it

Use Maui Slate on a structured armchair, dining seat or headboard where its dense blue-and-cream geometry can act as a tailored focal point. Balance the cool slate tone with warm oak, ivory linen and muted grey accessories.

Pair the cool slate blue with chalky neutrals, pale timber and softly textured upholstery for a balanced, tailored scheme.
