About this fabric

The design combines emerald, moss and blue-green foliage with lime-yellow highlights that stand out clearly against the dark indigo background. Russet-brown monkeys sit among the stems, adding warm contrast to the cooler botanical tones. At 390 gsm, the fabric has a substantial presence suited to upholstery, with a 137 cm usable width for planning larger pieces. The pattern repeats at 44.5 cm vertically and 45.7 cm horizontally, creating a regular rhythm within the densely arranged jungle motif. It is supplied in a standard 40 m length.

How to use it

Use Monkey Business Indigo on a statement chair, headboard or sofa where its dark blue ground can anchor a room. Balance the saturated foliage with natural timber, warm neutral walls and restrained brass or tan accents.

Use the deep indigo ground as a dramatic backdrop for the green foliage, pale fronds and russet monkey motifs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Monkey Business Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
