Monkey Business Rouge

Exotica 2 Fabric FabricCCF0163-04

Monkey Business Rouge places a vivid rouge-red ground beneath an abundant jungle arrangement of deep green leaves, curling vines and small monkeys. Pale chartreuse foliage lifts the design, while the darker greens give this colourway a rich, layered depth.

About this fabric

This 390 gsm Clarke & Clarke fabric has a usable width of 137 cm, making its substantial handle well suited to upholstery applications. The large-scale pattern combines broad tropical leaves, fine trailing stems and monkey figures, with painterly green variation visible across the red ground. Its pattern repeat measures 44.5 cm vertically and 45.7 cm horizontally, so the foliage and figures should be planned carefully across upholstered panels. A standard length is supplied as 40 m.

How to use it

Use the saturated rouge ground to energise a reading chair, ottoman or compact sofa, pairing it with dark timber, aged brass and plain deep-green accents. The chartreuse highlights can be echoed in smaller cushions or painted details without competing with the botanical scale.

The warm rouge ground and dense botanical scene make a striking upholstery choice for an accent chair, bench or occasional piece.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
