Rory Blue

Brett Weaves FabricF4639-06

Rory Blue has a softly variegated woven surface that reads as a cool, greyed blue with pale mineral highlights. The tight basket-style texture gives it a refined, quietly tailored look.

About this fabric

This Brett Weaves fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a cloth fabric with no repeat, measuring approximately 143cm wide. Its composition is 40% Cotton, 26% Viscose, 23% Polyester, 9% Linen, 1% Polyamide and 1% Acrylic, which helps explain the crisp yet softly slubbed handle visible in the weave. Rory Blue combines misty blue yarns with pale oat and slate tones, creating a muted, slightly chalky finish rather than a bright navy effect. The small-scale woven texture keeps the surface visually active without reading as patterned, making it feel tailored and versatile. Fire code √BM and care code Q 8 < T 3 are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair Rory Blue with pale oak, warm white or brushed nickel for a calm contemporary scheme. It works particularly well on clean-lined sofas, bench seating or relaxed curtains where the grey-blue tone can soften natural light.

Use for tailored upholstery or lined drapery where you want a calm, understated blue with a woven look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
