Romilly FabricF4926-07

Romilly Old Blue shows a neat, repeating geometric pattern in a soft greyed blue palette. The tiny motif gives the surface a crisp, tailored look without feeling stark.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is woven in 100% cotton and has a repeat of approximately V 3cm / H 3cm, which keeps the small-scale pattern compact and orderly across the width of around 136cm. In this colourway, the blue reads as muted and cool, softened by pale grey and a gentle mineral note that stops it from feeling bright. The tiny linked motif has a clean, almost embroidered rhythm, with the lighter ground making the design feel airy rather than heavy. It is well suited to scheme-led interiors where a restrained pattern is wanted with enough character to register from a little distance.

How to use it

Use it to bring a smart, calm note to armchairs, dining chairs or Roman blinds, especially alongside chalky whites and pale timber. The cool blue-grey tone also sits well with deeper navy, silvered oak or brushed brass.

A cool, understated blue that works beautifully in tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
