Sylvestra Forest

Romilly FabricF4944-01

Sylvestra Forest brings together muted forest green bands, soft stone motifs and narrow rust accents for a grounded, layered look. The stripe reads relaxed and textural, with enough pattern movement to hold interest across larger pieces.

About this fabric

Sylvestra Forest from the Romilly collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a repeating stripe layout, shown here in a forest-green grounded colourway with pale stone motifs and fine rust detailing. The composition is 52% Cotton, 19% Viscose, 14% Linen, 6% Wool, 5% Polyester, 4% Acrylic, giving it a tactile, slightly nubby handle that suits an upholstered application or tailored soft furnishings. The repeat measures approximately V 36cm / H 14cm, and the 142cm approximate width makes the design practical for patterned upholstery and coordinated drapery. The overall effect is earthy and quietly decorative rather than bright, with the green stripes reading cool and subdued against the warmer woven bands.

How to use it

Pair this forest-green colourway with oak, antique brass and natural linen to keep the room calm but characterful. It works especially well where you want pattern without losing the grounded feel of a darker, leafy palette.

Use with warm woods and linen for a grounded, lived-in look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sylvestra Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
