About this fabric

Castele Forest from the Roscoe collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a repeat of V 6cm and H 5cm approx and a width of 143cm approx. Its 58% viscose, 30% linen and 12% polyester construction gives the surface a softly textured, lightly matte handle visible in the swatch. The small repeating motif reads as a lattice of rounded quatrefoil forms, drawn in grey-green outlines over a warm, understated ground. In this colourway the greens stay subdued and earthy rather than bright, which keeps the pattern smart and versatile rather than busy. The balanced composition and mid-scale repeat make it suitable for polished upholstery or elegant drapery.

How to use it

Use Castele Forest on an armchair, banquette or curtains where you want pattern without strong contrast. Its muted green-grey tone works especially well with oak, stone, aged brass and deeper woodland colours.

A refined green-grey that sits neatly on both upholstery and drapery pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Castele Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
