Colefax and Fowler

Dexter Green

Romilly FabricF4947-02

Dexter Green shows a softly shimmering zigzag weave in muted sage, olive and pale stone tones. The pattern reads as lively but restrained, with the green shifting gently across the cloth rather than shouting for attention.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric from the Romilly collection is a woven textile with a 47% cotton, 40% viscose and 13% polyester composition, giving the surface a slightly lustrous finish. The zigzag motif is repeated on a generous 22cm vertical and horizontal repeat, which is clearly visible in the layered chevron movement across the swatch. Dexter Green combines soft sage, washed olive and creamy neutral threads, so the overall effect is fresh yet grounded rather than bright. At approximately 134cm wide, it is a useful width for upholstery and drapery projects where the pattern needs to be shown cleanly. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Dexter Green on a curved armchair or bespoke blinds to let the woven movement play out in the light. Its muted green palette works especially well with oak, linen, and chalky off-whites.

A muted sage zigzag with enough body for cushions or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
