Hilaire Forest

Pelham FabricF4846-03

Hilaire in Forest has a quietly shifting green ground, with the small geometric repeat reading like tiny arrowheads across the surface. The overall effect is muted and earthy rather than bright, with the weave giving the colour a soft, dappled depth.

About this fabric

This Pelham fabric is composed of 45% Cotton, 20% Viscose, 15% Linen, 10% Polyester and 10% Acrylic, and it comes in an approximate width of 133cm. The repeat is about V 8cm / H 9cm, which suits the compact, rhythmic pattern you can see in the swatch. In this Forest colourway, the palette settles into a mossy green with cooler and warmer notes working through the weave, so the motif feels textured rather than flat. The finish has enough structure for upholstery, while still making sense for curtains or light interlining-style drapery applications. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored chair, ottoman or bench where the small repeat can be appreciated up close. It also works well for relaxed curtains in a room with walnut, oak or aged brass, where the muted green will read calm and grounded.

Pair with warm woods and plain linens to let the small-scale pattern sit quietly in the room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hilaire Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
