Harcourt Old Blue

Pelham FabricF4844-03

Harcourt in Old Blue shows a neat, small-scale geometric pattern with a softly worn, layered finish. The palette reads as muted blue-green on a warm neutral ground, giving the design an easy, heritage character.

About this fabric

Harcourt Old Blue from the Pelham collection is woven in a 38% viscose, 32% cotton, 17% polyester and 13% linen blend, with an approximate width of 144cm and a repeat of V 9cm / H 7cm. The surface has a lightly textured, cloth-like handle that lets the diamond motif sit crisply while the colour remains relaxed rather than vivid. In this colourway, the blue notes are softened with sage and stone, so the pattern feels calm, aged and slightly powdery in the light. The compact repeat gives the fabric a disciplined rhythm that works well where a refined but not overly formal decorative effect is wanted.

How to use it

Use this old blue shade on tailored upholstery, cushions or a blind where the small geometric will read clearly from a distance. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deeper navy accents for a layered, collected room.

A restrained blue-ground geometric that adds pattern without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
