Alberta Old Blue
Romilly FabricF4937-05
Alberta Old Blue presents as a quiet, mineral blue with a softly speckled surface and a fine, ordered pattern. The overall effect is cool, pale and gently tailored rather than bright or nautical.

About this fabric
This Romilly fabric from Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 52% Cotton, 28% Viscose, 20% Polyester composition, with an approximate width of 140cm and a repeat of V 4cm / H 4cm. In this colourway, the design reads as a muted old blue with a greyed undertone, softened further by the tiny repeating motif that gives the surface a calm, almost dappled texture. The weave looks neat and close, with enough body to suggest a practical decorative cloth rather than anything overly sheer or drapey. The restrained colour and small repeat make it feel composed and versatile, while the √BH fire code adds an extra specification point for scheme planning.
How to use it
Use Alberta Old Blue on a well-shaped armchair, banquette or tailored cushions where its cool, faded tone can sit against pale oak, chalk white or deep navy. It also works neatly for relaxed blinds or curtains in a calm, layered interior.
A restrained blue-grey that feels tailored and easy to pair with pale woods or chalky neutrals.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alberta Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
