Colefax and Fowler

Quadretto Navy

Pelham FabricF4022-21

Quadretto Navy reads as a deep, cool navy with a subtle heathered softness in the weave. The tiny checked texture gives it a crisp, tailored look without feeling flat or overly formal.

About this fabric

Woven in a compact small-scale check, Quadretto Navy has a dense, pebble-like surface that catches the light with faint blue-grey highlights against the darker ground. The colour sits firmly in navy territory, but the interlaced yarns soften it so it feels more layered than inky or stark. It is composed of 52% viscose, 28% cotton and 20% polyester, with an approximate width of 138cm and a vertical and horizontal repeat of 1cm. That balance of fibres helps explain its smart, adaptable finish, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery where a neat textured look is wanted.

How to use it

Use this navy colourway on a tailored armchair, footstool or Roman blind to bring depth without heavy contrast. It works especially well with pale stone, off-white linen and dark timber for a restrained, modern scheme.

Pairs easily with chalky neutrals and warm woods for a tailored, quietly modern look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
