Kelston Blue

Romilly FabricF4222-01

Kelston Blue shows a tightly repeated diamond lattice that reads crisp and orderly across the swatch. The muted blue ground is lifted by pale contrast detailing, giving the pattern a cool, tailored look.

About this fabric

This Romilly fabric is composed of 40% viscose, 38% cotton, 18% linen and 4% polyester, with a repeat of approximately V 3cm / H 4cm and a width of about 138cm. The small geometric motif sits close to the cloth surface, creating a neat, almost woven-tile effect rather than a bold printed look. In this colourway, the blue is softened and slightly denim-like, with lighter accents that keep the design from feeling heavy. The overall handle is suited to both upholstery and drapery, depending on the room’s need for structure or pattern.

How to use it

Pair this muted blue with painted timber, chalky neutrals or aged brass for a calm, traditional scheme. Its small-scale geometry works especially well on chairs, cushions and curtains in rooms that need pattern without visual noise.

Use for tailored upholstery or curtains where a restrained patterned blue is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
