About this fabric

Fulbrook Tomato from the Romilly collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 41% viscose, 32% cotton, 14% linen and 13% polyester blend, giving the cloth a lightly textured handle and a neat, structured finish. The small diamond repeat, set at approximately V 4cm and H 5cm, reads clearly across the surface without feeling busy. In this colourway the red is a warm tomato tone rather than a bright scarlet, and the muted pale ground keeps the pattern airy. The tiny olive-green notes give it a slightly English, softly historic character that sits well on furniture. With an approximate width of 140cm, it is well suited to upholstery projects where a compact motif is wanted.

How to use it

This colourway works beautifully on an accent chair, bench or blind where the tomato-red ground can bring warmth to a room. Pair it with oak, aged brass and linen neutrals to let the small-scale diamond pattern stand out.

Use on tailored seating or cushions for a warm, patterned finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
