About this fabric
This Romilly fabric by Colefax and Fowler combines 40% viscose, 38% cotton, 18% linen and 4% polyester in a 138cm width, with a repeat of V 3cm / H 4cm approx. The weave appears crisp and compact, with the small diamond motif sitting in a muted old blue that is softened by grey and natural linen notes. That blend gives the surface a dry, lightly textured finish rather than a glossy one, so the design feels restrained and usable. The colourway has a faded, heritage quality that keeps the pattern from looking too sharp, while the close repeat makes it easy to place across larger spans.
How to use it
Use Kelston Old Blue on a smart chair, bench or a pair of upholstered ottomans where the small geometric can add detail without dominating. It also works well for curtains in a room with pale stone, oak or chalk-white finishes, where the cool blue-grey tone will read especially fresh.
A refined small-scale geometric in a muted blue that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
