Marcel Blue

Roscoe FabricF4767-01

Marcel Blue has a cool, restrained blue-grey look, with the small geometric weave sitting neatly across the cloth. The surface reads fine and textural rather than bold, giving the design a calm, tailored feel.

About this fabric

This Roscoe fabric by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a blend of 64% Linen, 21% Viscose, 8% Cotton, 4% Polyamide and 3% Acrylic, with a width of approximately 139cm and a pattern repeat of V 10cm / H 9cm approx. The colourway is a muted blue-grey, softened further by the tiny diamond lattice that gives the surface a discreet, refined rhythm. From the image, the cloth looks dry, closely woven and lightly textured, with the motif reading in tonal layers rather than high contrast. It is a textile that feels composed and versatile, with enough structure for upholstery and enough subtlety for drapery. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Marcel Blue on an armchair, banquette or loose cover where its small-scale pattern can add depth without dominating the room. The cool blue-grey tone works especially well with pale oak, ink, linen and weathered metal finishes.

A cool, quiet blue that layers neatly with walnut, slate and chalky neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
