Lewin Blue

Boscombe FabricJ0138-03

Lewin Blue reads as a soft, muted blue-grey with a subtle speckled weave and a gently textured surface. The colour feels cool and understated, with enough variation in the yarns to keep it lively at close range.

About this fabric

This Boscombe fabric by Jane Churchill has a compact, small-scale woven appearance with no visible repeat, giving it a steady, tailored look across the width. The blend of 37% Polyester, 28% Polyacrylic, 19% Viscose, 10% Polyacrylic (FR) and 6% Linen helps create the slightly nubby handle and softly mottled surface visible in the swatch. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a practical textile for a range of interior uses, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code supports its everyday suitability. The Lewin Blue colourway combines pale stone, blue-grey and deeper denim flecks, so the overall effect is cool rather than bright and quietly textural rather than flat.

How to use it

Use Lewin Blue on an upholstered armchair or banquette where its calm blue-grey tone can soften stronger surrounding colours. It also works well as relaxed curtains or Roman blinds, especially against white-painted woodwork, pale oak or chalky neutrals.

A restrained blue-grey weave that feels calm and polished in both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
