About this fabric

From the Boscombe collection by Jane Churchill, Holt Soft Blue is a 134cm-wide fabric with a repeat of V 2cm / H 8cm approx. Its composition of 52% viscose, 36% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester gives the cloth a soft, lightly textural hand that suits both decorative and practical use. In this colourway, the stripe reads as washed-out blue with warm ivory and beige notes, so the overall effect is calm rather than crisp. The fine vertical pattern is subtle at distance and softly mottled up close, which helps it feel easy and relaxed rather than sharply tailored.

How to use it

Use Holt Soft Blue to bring a hushed, coastal note to slim upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains. The pale blue stripe sits well with chalk whites, pale oak and natural linens, especially in rooms that need a little colour without losing light.

A quiet, airy stripe that works beautifully on upholstery or curtains in calm, coastal schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
