About this fabric

This Boscombe fabric by Jane Churchill is a 140cm-wide textile with no pattern repeat, making the subtle woven texture the main feature of the design. The composition blends 37% polyester, 28% polyacrylic, 19% viscose, 10% polyacrylic (FR) and 6% linen, giving the cloth a slightly dry, tactile handle with a neat, tailored look. In this colourway, the indigo sits low and smoky, broken up by pale flecks that lighten the surface and stop it feeling flat. The overall effect is smart and understated, with enough visual texture to add interest without taking over a room.

How to use it

Use Lewin Indigo on an armchair, banquette or simple curtains where the muted blue will sharpen the scheme without feeling cold. It pairs especially well with pale wood, chalky neutrals and brushed metal details.

A quietly textured indigo that works well on tailored upholstery or clean-lined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
