Bonseki Aegean

Harlequin x Henry Holland Weaves FabricHAF0582-01

Bonseki Aegean has a cool, misted blue-grey ground covered with delicate, closely drawn rippling lines. The pale threads catch the light softly, giving the surface a gently shifting, almost topographic depth.

About this fabric

This substantial woven fabric weighs 464 gsm and has a dense construction of 137 threads per cm, making it well suited to upholstery. Its Aegean colourway stays muted and cool rather than bright, with fine pale lines creating layered, pebble-like contours across the blue-grey ground. The design has a vertical pattern repeat of 68.1 cm and a horizontal repeat of 34.6 cm, so the organic motif reads as a considered all-over texture on larger upholstered pieces. A usable width of 138 cm provides practical coverage for seating and furniture applications.

How to use it

Use Bonseki Aegean on a structured sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool blue-grey tone can sit alongside chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal. The fine rippling motif adds depth without introducing a strong contrasting colour.

A substantial blue-grey woven with fine rippling lines, suited to tailored upholstery and calm contemporary rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
