Idyllic Fabrics FabricHAF0568-06

Kaku Celestial pairs a soft, misty blue-grey ground with rows of loose white fish, creating a light aquatic scene with a calm, airy feel. The fish vary subtly in pose, giving the repeat an animated rather than rigid appearance.

About this fabric

This 220 gsm fabric shows crisp white fish swimming across the cool blue-grey background, with small fin and tail details visible throughout the repeat. Its 149 cm usable width makes the pattern practical for both furnishing and window applications. The vertical pattern repeat is 46.8 cm and the horizontal repeat is 49.5 cm, giving the fish a medium-scale layout that remains easy to read across the cloth. A thread count of 443 threads per cm supports the finely detailed look visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Kaku Celestial for relaxed drapery, Roman blinds or occasional upholstery where its cool blue-grey tone can sit with chalky whites, pale timber and seaside-inspired neutrals. The white fish motif also makes a playful statement on a reading chair or scatter cushions.

A gentle coastal blue-grey ground with lively white fish, suited to relaxed curtains, cushions and occasional upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
