Ridley Aegean

Harlequin x Henry Holland Weaves FabricHAF0595-01

Ridley Aegean has a cool, pale blue ground animated by slender ivory, grey and subtly warmer lines that drift vertically across the cloth. The closely woven surface gives the pattern a softly textured, layered appearance rather than a flat printed effect.

About this fabric

At 760gsm, Ridley Aegean is a substantial woven fabric suited to upholstery, with a 138cm useable width. Its vertical design has a 38cm pattern repeat and a 35cm horizontal repeat, creating gently irregular bands that move between pale Aegean blue, chalky ivory and muted grey. The 65.7 threads-per-centimetre construction gives the swatch a dense, finely ribbed look, while the light-catching threads add depth to the otherwise cool colourway. The undulating stripes remain directional without becoming rigid, lending the fabric a calm but visibly patterned finish.

How to use it

Use Ridley Aegean on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool pale blue tone can sit against warm white, light oak or soft grey. The narrow vertical movement also works well on panels or cushions when a room needs texture without a bold geometric motif.

Use the cool blue and ivory movement to bring quiet pattern to upholstered seating and headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
