About this fabric

This substantial 800gsm textile is suited to upholstery, with a usable width of 128cm. Across the face, fine irregular striations and small organic pools create a marbled pattern that shifts between muted sage green, warm ivory and cooler grey. The dense construction is specified at 133.4 threads per centimetre, helping explain the compact, tactile appearance visible in the swatch. Its pattern repeats every 25.6cm vertically and 64cm horizontally, giving the all-over design measured movement without a large, open motif.

How to use it

Use Matcha on a tailored armchair, dining seat or sofa to introduce a quiet botanical-green note without overwhelming the room. Balance its pale sage and grey depth with warm oak, chalk-painted furniture or softly textured neutral walls.

Use this weighty matcha weave on upholstery where its pale sage, cream and grey movement can be appreciated up close.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marble Tapestry Matcha without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
