Great Hey Matcha

Harlequin x Henry Holland Weaves FabricHAF0585-04

Great Hey Matcha combines a deep matcha-olive ground with fine warm-cream lines that form a dense, broken vertical maze. The contrast is softened by the woven surface, giving the colourway depth rather than a flat graphic effect.

About this fabric

The Matcha colourway pairs an earthy olive base with narrow warm-cream linear marks, creating a compact geometric rhythm across the cloth. At 618gsm, it has a substantial woven presence suited to upholstery, with a 140.5cm usable width for practical cutting. Its pattern repeats every 36cm vertically and 35cm horizontally, keeping the irregular ladder-like motif visually continuous across a larger panel. The listed 66 threads per cm contribute to the close, richly textured appearance visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this deep olive colourway on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its warm-cream geometry can sit against timber, leather or softly coloured walls. Its muted matcha tone works particularly well with ochre, rust and natural linen accents.

Use this deep olive-and-cream geometric weave on statement upholstery, balanced with warm timber and natural textures.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Great Hey Matcha without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
