About this fabric

This substantial 464gsm fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width for practical cutting. Across the russet-brown ground, slender cream and copper-toned marks form overlapping circular and wave-like motifs, creating a softly irregular surface rather than a rigid geometric pattern. The design has a 68.1cm vertical repeat and a 34.6cm horizontal repeat, giving the pattern enough scale to read clearly on larger upholstered forms. In this colourway, the warm terracotta depth makes the pale threads catch the light without becoming stark.

How to use it

Use Bonseki Terracotta on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard, pairing its earthy warmth with walnut, aged brass, cream boucle and muted olive accents. Its swirling linework can also add movement to a restrained, tonal scheme.

Use this richly textured terracotta weave to bring warmth and graphic movement to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bonseki Terracotta without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
