About this fabric

With a substantial weight of 535gsm, Ikigai Terracotta is well suited to upholstery applications where its dense woven surface can be appreciated. The colourway is distinctly warm, with terracotta blocks set against a creamy ground and dark brown definition that gives the small geometric motif added depth. Its pattern repeat measures 18cm vertically by 11.4cm horizontally, creating a consistent all-over rhythm. The 132.5cm usable width and 28 threads per centimetre support its closely structured appearance.

How to use it

Use this warm terracotta colourway on a statement chair, compact sofa or upholstered headboard, pairing it with cream textiles to draw out the lighter yarns. Dark brown timber or leather accents will reinforce the pattern’s deeper definition without competing with its fine scale.

A substantial 535gsm woven upholstery fabric with a warm terracotta, cream and brown lattice texture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ikigai Terracotta without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
