Bonseki Matcha is a deep, muted olive-green woven fabric animated by fine pale lines that gather into softly swirling, organic formations. Its densely worked surface gives the colour a layered, tactile depth rather than a flat green appearance.

About this fabric

The 464 gsm construction and substantial woven appearance make Bonseki Matcha particularly well suited to upholstery. Across the matcha ground, slender cream and khaki-toned lines form irregular curved clusters, creating a quietly animated pattern reminiscent of rippling grain or tightly drawn contours. With 137 threads per cm, the surface reads as dense and finely detailed, while the 68.1 cm vertical and 34.6 cm horizontal repeats give the design a considered rhythm. The fabric has a 138 cm usable width.

How to use it

Use this cool, earthy matcha olive on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman, where its pale swirling detail can be seen at close range. Pair it with chalky neutrals, dark wood, aged brass or warm tan leather to draw out the depth in the green.

Use this deep matcha olive weave to bring an earthy, textural note to upholstered seating, balanced with warm timber, stone and natural fibres.
