Moray Moss

Albany and Moray FabricCCF0293-22

Moray Moss has a muted olive-khaki tone with a warm, earthy cast, shown here in a close, softly textured weave. Fine vertical slubs and subtle crosshatching keep the plain surface visually rich without creating a formal motif.

About this fabric

The substantial 509gsm weight makes this woven textile well suited to upholstery, particularly where a durable-looking, tactile surface is wanted. Its 139cm usable width and zero vertical and horizontal pattern repeat allow straightforward cutting across the uninterrupted design. In this colourway, olive threads mingle with brown and sandy notes, giving the surface a softly weathered depth rather than a bright or saturated green appearance. The tight weave catches the light unevenly across the fine slubs, creating gentle tonal variation across cushions, chairs or larger upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Pair Moray Moss with warm timber, aged leather and natural stone for an earthy, quietly layered scheme. Its olive-khaki tone also works as a grounding neutral beside cream, rust or charcoal accents.

Use this grounded olive-khaki weave on upholstered seating where its quiet texture can add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
