Elsworthy Moss

Harlequin x Henry Holland Moire FabricHAF0583-03

Elsworthy Moss combines a subdued moss-green ground with a chalky, pale motif that travels in closely spaced vertical ripples. The pattern has a softly irregular moire character, with small nested oval details appearing within the flowing columns.

About this fabric

This 161gsm cloth has a fine, closely textured appearance, with pale green-grey and cream tones creating a gently weathered contrast rather than a sharp graphic effect. Its vertical design is built from meandering lines, broken rings and eye-shaped markings, giving the surface visible movement from top to bottom. The pattern repeat measures 55.8cm vertically by 50.8cm horizontally, while the 148cm usable width is well suited to continuous curtain drops. With 141 threads per centimetre, the weave reads refined and detailed despite the relaxed moss colour.

How to use it

Use Elsworthy Moss for curtains in a room with warm oak, chalky walls or natural linen, where its muted green depth can act as a calm botanical-toned backdrop. The vertical repeat will also add quiet height to a window without introducing a bold, high-contrast stripe.

Use its muted moss tone and vertically rippling pattern to bring gentle movement to full-length curtains or Roman blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Elsworthy Moss without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
