About this fabric

This colourway reads as a restrained fig-tinged green with an earthy olive cast, lifted by the velvet pile rather than a flat surface. The fabric is a velvet from Cosima Velvet II by Colefax and Fowler, with a width of 140cm approx and no visible repeat, so the plain ground feels calm and continuous. Its 56% viscose and 44% cotton composition helps explain the smooth sheen and soft texture visible in the swatch.
