About this fabric

This colourway reads as a warm, subdued olive with low-key depth and a velvety softness rather than a bright green cast. It is a 100% cotton velvet from Colefax and Fowler’s Dante Velvet collection, with an approximate width of 140cm and no visible repeat (V 0cm / H 0cm approx). The surface appears smooth and dense, with the nap subtly shifting the tone across the swatch. The overall effect is smart and restrained, making it well suited to upholstery where a natural, grounded colour is wanted.

How to use it

Use Dante Olive on an armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard to bring in colour without shouting; its muted green sits especially well with walnut, brass and warm neutrals. It also works beautifully in a layered scheme with camel, stone and soft black accents.
