Dante Sable
Dante Velvet VelvetF4797-26
Dante Sable is a richly dark velvet with a low, even pile and a deep sable-brown tone that reads almost espresso in the light. The surface has a soft, matte-lustrous finish that gives the colour extra depth without any visible pattern.

About this fabric
This colourway from the Dante Velvet collection is a plain velvet with a smooth, closely cropped pile and no repeat, making the emphasis entirely on tone and touch. The 100% cotton composition and approx. 140cm width suit upholstery well, while the √CM fire code supports contract use requirements. Dante Sable shows a warm, shadowy brown with subtle olive undertones, and the nap catches the light in quiet, tonal shifts rather than shine. It feels substantial and controlled, with the kind of depth that flatters both structured furniture and softer decorative pieces.
How to use it
Use Dante Sable on a sofa, armchair or banquet seating where the dark brown pile can anchor a scheme. It pairs neatly with pale linens, aged brass and tobacco or walnut timbers for a layered, low-glare room.
A dark, refined velvet that works beautifully on tailored seating and intimate accent pieces.

Pairs well with
Dante Sable is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
