About this fabric
Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has the reassuring look of a substantial textile rather than a light decorative cloth. The large plaid repeat, at approximately V 30cm and H 25.5cm, gives the pattern a clear, oversized rhythm that reads strongly across upholstery or curtains. In this colourway, the brown ground is rich but not glossy, with the lighter crossing bands softening the check and keeping it from feeling heavy. The 152cm approximate width makes it practical for a range of interior uses, while the √BH fire code and Q 8 + T 3 care notation support specifying it with confidence.
How to use it
Use it on a buttoned chair, sofa cushions or long curtains in rooms with oak, linen and painted woodwork. The warm brown palette sits especially well with muted neutrals and smoky blues, letting the plaid bring pattern without sharp contrast.
Works well on a tailored armchair or relaxed curtains where the soft checks can add depth without feeling formal.

Pairs well with
Galloway Plaid Brown is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
