About this fabric

Ruskin Damson from the Ruskin II collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a blend of 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton. At approximately 142cm wide with a vertical repeat of 64cm and horizontal repeat of 36cm, it is a substantial decorative fabric with a clear repeating damask motif. The colour reads as a deep brown with muted damson undertones, giving the surface a warm, low-sheen richness that feels refined rather than bright. The weave has a dry, textile character with the pattern emerging subtly in the light, making the design feel layered and elegant. Care code Q 8 : T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this damson-brown colourway to bring depth to drapery, statement chairs or a formal headboard, especially where you want pattern that reads softly at a distance. It works well with walnut, oxblood, moss and parchment tones.

Pairs beautifully with aged brass, dark timber and soft ivory upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
