Ruskin Beige

Ruskin II FabricF3923-04

Ruskin Beige reads as a soft, warm beige with a gently layered floral pattern that sits quietly across the cloth. The motif is present but subdued, giving the fabric a calm, lived-in elegance rather than a high-contrast look.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a muted beige ground with faint tonal variation, so the floral design blends into the surface and feels especially soft in daylight. The cloth is woven in 53% viscose, 25% linen and 22% cotton, which helps explain the understated sheen, natural texture and dry, textile character visible here. With a width of approximately 142cm and a vertical repeat of around 64cm by 36cm horizontally, it is suitable for tailored cutting whether used on upholstery or drapery. The overall effect is warm and restrained, with the pattern emerging only when the light catches the weave.

How to use it

Use Ruskin Beige where you want pattern without visual noise: it will sit neatly on a sofa, armchair or full-length curtain in a room with timber, plaster and aged brass. Its warm beige tone also layers easily with oatmeal, stone and muted green accents.

A quietly elegant beige that keeps the pattern soft and versatile across seating or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ruskin Beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
